PARSONS and Frank E. FORD. Mattie FORD died in 1944 and is buried in Duncan. She was my grandmother's sister. Some of the children were Gertrude, Will, Sarah (may have married COX), Cora Alice, Elizabeth, Dovie Mae, Nellie (may have married HACKEL), and Hugh. Please contact me with any information. Thanks.

Curtis
ADAMS was a truck driver for the old Nichols Drilling Co. Later worked for W.T.Robinson Trucking Co in Velma. Margie stayed home and took care of the boys. Danny and Dennis graduated from V-A H.S. Danny went to College and Dennis went to the service and Vietnam. Curtis died in May of 96, Dan lives in Ardmore and Dennis retired from the Ardmore Police Dept.and now living in Bentonville Ark working in the Home Office of Wal-Mart.

MARCELL, b. 1837 in Tennessee, d. 1917 in Olney Texas, married to Josse ? was living in Duncan, Stevens County, Oklahoma in 1907, with his son, Stonewall Jackson "Jack" MARCELL, b. 1882 possibly in Indian Territory, d. 1942 in Olney TX. Other children of Edward N. MARCELL were Lawrence, Heber, Leo and Ella MARCELL. Apparently, they had something to do with the furniture business. Stonewall Jackson MARCELL married Maude BREWER, b. 1888 in Alto Texas, d. 1980 in Ft. Worth Tx, buried in Olney TX. I'm looking for any additional information on the MARCELL line when they were living in Duncan Oklahoma.

My great grandfather,
FRANK SABISCO DUNCAN, 1/14/1853--6/9/1936 died in Springfield Tenn. I have been told by a grandaughter ( 86) and a grandson (70) at different times a story about GGF FRANK ,that his father died when Frank was a young boy and he was raised by two of his father's bachelor brothers and these brothers were two of the founders of Duncan Oklahoma. Any information as to dates and confirmation one way or the other would be appreciated and if there is a book on the history of Duncan Oklahoma I would like to buy one. Thank you very much.

FRICKE that lived in Stephens Co. in 1920. He was born in Missouri around 1857. Mary Jane (COTTON) was born around 1870 in Arkansas. Their children's names were Missouri, Hiram, Dessie, Samuel, Roy, and Edna. Hiram was married at the time and lived separetely with his wife Hester. Thanks.

HARVELL (Harwell) b. 1819 in TN and his 2nd wife, Francis, b. 1833 in TN. They are shown on the 1900 Chickasaw Nation census living near Velma in Stephens Co. I believe they died in Stephens Co. and am looking for their place of burial. One of their sons, John HARVELL and his wife, Ella, were living with them in 1900. Children of Alexander and his first wife were William HARVELL married Martha E., Mary Emmaline married John LAMBERT, Eliza Jane married John LITTLE.

DALE (d. 12 Jan 1906, Duncan), Millie Styron DALE (d. 11 May 1906, Duncan, wife of G.W. Dale), Clarinda Clayton DALE (d 1910, Duncan, mother of G.W. Dale). They are supposed to be buried side by side in Section 1, Block 3, lot 58 in Dunca, but in what cemetery? Thanks.

I'm trying to find my father's birth family. He was adopted in 1930 from the Whitaker State Orphan Home in Pryor by a couple named Mr. and Mrs. Leo H.
GORTON from Tulsa. I found his birth certificate. It lists his name as Forester Lee WHITING, born either 2 Nov or 3 Nov 1926. His parents are listed as F.T. WHITING and Lilly May DUCKWORTH of Duncan. The certificate says he was 24 and she was 21 at the time of his birth. The certificate was filed on 8 Nov 1926. Any help in this matter is appreciated.

THOMAS) TETTLETON's mother. Annie was born in Texas in 1899. Her father was James Wallace THOMAS. Her mother was also born in Texas according to a census. Annie married James Quinton TETTLETON and had a daughter Joyce in 1918 while living in the Duncan area. I believe James and Annie would have been married in Duncan between 1915 and 1917. I am hoping her mother's name would be on the marriage record. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
