Mt. Grove Cemetery, Stephens County, Oklahoma

Driving Directions:
At Loco, turn north at Loco Store. Follow road, it will turn right, stay on road and in approximately 7/10 miles turn left (north) and go 2 miles. There is a tubing gate with a hand painted sign on the right (east) side of the road.[see top photo] Go through the gate and follow the private road 4/10 miles east to the cemetery. [middle photo]

Unknown; Cemetery work day is the last Saturday in May.

Comments:
Cemetery is well kept.

History:
According to a marker on site. [see bottom photo]

Mt. Grove Baptist Church.
• Organized July 26, 1884 under a brush arbor on Negro Prong Creek. -L. T. Kennedy, Pastor - B. F. Ward Church Clerk
• On Oct. 18, 1895 Mullins Baptist Assoc. was organized at a meeting in Mt. Grove Baptist Church.
• The Church dissolved fellowship August 1968. Bill Flores, Pastor - Mrs. Joe Henry, Clerk
