Both George and Mildred are buried Duncan, OK from about 1889-1920. Most of this family is buried at the Duncan South Cemetery. Submitted by Eric C. Paul John Houston Lumpkin was 26 and Martha Lucretia Starkey was 16. They were married in Duncan Ok. Nov. 23 1912. General Jackson York b. 1875 AL with son Ray Miller York b. 1914 Terral, OK died at 4 - 6 years old. Ray is buried in OK somewhere. 	This is a Tucker School picture which I think was taken between 1915 and 1920. Submitted By Sherry Leafgreen Claud School approximately 1930.  My husband's mother was a young girl and she is in the photo.  Submitted by Diane Gann. Picture of Claud School taken in 1997.   Submitted by Diane Gann. LAVENA MONSEY, elementary teacher at Lee School in Duncan for 24 years. The photo was taken in 1966, just prior to her retirement after a total of 31 years of teaching. The student's name is not known.  Submitted by Duane Monkres LAVENA MONSEY and W.E. "BILL" MONSEY. Mr. Monsey first taught at Willow Springs, OK in a two room school house (Mrs. Monsey taught in the second classroom), and later became Superintendent of Schools in Loco, OK. He then served between 1942 and '47 as Stephens County School Superintendent. While county superintendent, Mr. Monsey was instrumental in consolidating the rural Burris and Doyle school districts and the Velma and Alma school districts. Following his tenure as county superintendent, Mr. Monsey was principal of Irving Elementary School in Duncan. When the district built its 4th elementary school, Mark Twain, Mr. Monsey served as principal of both Irving and Mark Twain. 	The Stephens County Courthouse.  I ran across this photo in a craft show. At the time the courthouse stood in a circle on Main at 10th St, facing east. I would guess this picture was taken in about 1948 based on a partial image of a 46 or 47 Chevy which doesn't show up in this picture because of size limitations.  Submitted by Duane Monkres This grainy picture, clipped from the Duncan Banner in the mid-50's, was a publicity shot for the annual Kiwanis Pancake Fry. The Halliburton bulk cement hauler portrays a huge pancake mix dispenser. Pictured are, L to R, Gilbert Bond, Morgan "Tiny" Duval, W. E. "Bill" Monsey, Jim Frye, and Kiwanis President M.M. Hightower.
